Well I went to my first road course today at VIR. The experience was unbelievable to say the least. I went w/ a good friend who drives a 2001 Z06 w/ some mods. There's nothing like doing 145mph down the backstretch and having a Porsche GT3 Cup car passing you. SO im hooked. My car is completely off the road and I plan on rebuilding it the coming summer and winter. So my questions to you are, What is a good horsepower/tourqe range to be able to compete w/ cars in our class. What suspensions, chasis bracing, brakes, harnesses, etc. do you recomend. Thanks for your time. And to add a little humor to the story, My friend w/ the vette got to sit in this guys Ferrari Modena (challenge editiong i belive), well when he got out he hit his head on the mirror and knocked it off..DOH. The older gentleman (who owned the car) proceeded to tell him that it was a 10k mirror and installation was gonna be atleast 20k. My friends jaw droped and the old man started laughing. He said that he had done the same thing when he first bought the car and that he should of told him the correct techinqe to get out of the car...LOL
